Taking a break, & with no more idiots to deal with I think it's time for "Docktails"

I never thought there were that many!

Jolly well deserved, Topper! Enjoy your fishing trip, if that's what you're up to.

I'm not sure why the "Board" doesn't step in and take back our camp. Slymie doesn't show up for any functions that our camp has had during the season. Our camp is literaly going to pot. I don't miss him being at these functions at all not one bit but as for an acting president he should be at these pre planned functions. His name will go down in history as a total slacker amongst other choice words.

Yes, camp does seem to be falling apart. Food has been really sub par in the dining hall this summer also.

It's like there's no camp spirit left anymore. Something has died. :(

Wonder if Joey will continue to post while Topper takes his break?

I feel sorry for the members of the board. Having to deal with this family feud has put a real strain on them and Lakeside. The current board lost a member last year and a current board member just lost his father. By the way, where were all of you when we had our Annual Meeting? Why didn't you come out of the shadows and speak your minds. Easy to sit in the dark and throw rocks at the people doing the work. Next Annual meeting in July 2010, there will be an opening for a board member, any of you closet bitchers going to sign up? I think not!

Firstly, thank you for all the kind words and thoughts directed this way over the past 3 years, they were most welcomed and appreciated. If Joey has an interest in writing here, she knows how to do it, and that will be her call. I will be back, just taking a much needed break.

I will try to get a fly line in the water and see if one of those pesky brook trout can stumble upon my poorly tied fly. I am wishing I still had a few that Ben had tied. Or maybe it was that red hat?

As for Lakeside, this place is strong; it always has been and will be going forward. In every organization there are times that test you and this was one. The sore that exists now will be gone soon enough and the Lakeside of old will emerge stronger and better than before. There is no shortage of good, quality campers who can step in and fill some shoes, large or small.

I have enjoyed the spirited feedback from all who have posted comments. There might have been times when you felt they fell on deaf ears, but that was never the case. We sometimes needed to remain quite or silent for obvious reasons, but always with the intentions of informing everyone who read this that there are things you can do to prevent this from happening to you. Unfortunately for us our number was called, and we had to respond. We think we did the right thing, time will tell.

Thank you…

Topper, thanks. Hope you guys are still considering an appeal!!!!

A formal complaint against the judge is a certain. An appeal still needs a final order before it can be filed but has not been ruled out.

David's attorney has refused to file for the final order. We are working with our attorney to get it done. Once the final order is in, we can appeal. We are certainly considering it.

I look forward to more posts. I like to contribute and will be doing so. Thanks all for reading.
