It still feels like home!

People have asked all summer if it's "different" now that we no longer "own" a cottage here. It's not. The soul of Lakeside is the people and they are all still here. It's the friendships forged over 80+ years for my mother and all our lives that make this place still feel like home.

We had the whole group up yesterday for mother's birthday. It was one of the most beautiful days of the whole summer and of course, we had fun. Enjoy the pictures!

This post really warms my heart. It is so nice to see the family still enjoying life and their beloved Lakeside!

Sometimes there is a hidden benefit- even to events that seem horrible at the time. You got some Cash and relieved of an (really) old cottage badly in need of repairs, encroaching on another lot. You also freed yourselves of an extremely difficult and unpleasant "tenant in common".

And-- you can still rent various cottages and enjoy all the friends, the beauty and grandeur of Lakeside; without all the hassles, Slymie BS, etc.

(Not in anyway condoning Slymie- but aren't there some bright spots here?)

LIVE IT UP!

That's a lovely front porch, btw. Whose cottage is that?

The picture of the 5 of us was taken at Gail Yerges' cottage. She had invited us down for cocktails. That's one of the cool old cottages. Flashbacks of hours and hours spent upstairs playing games and reading comic books. They had the best comic book collections ever!

Isn't it funny how the prez of lakeside is more hated then any other prez in the history of Lakeside. I heard a rumor that he was selling after his tenure. I hope it's true and we get the only family deserving of the cottage. Lee's/Jenkins. We need our beloved camp back without lawsuits and disgrunted members that want everything to themselves. Hope it was worth the time, money and loss of friends

Slymie's life has gone to pot as a result of his ill- advised conspiracy to screw his sister and nieces and nephews outta the family cottage.

What goes around comes around!!

You really do reap what you sow!!!!

what goes around comes around. I have learned that way to many times. It is a fact and slymie got exactly what he deserves. Go ahead take the cottage by force and then just wait slymie you'll get yours. I just hope it isn't pretty. I think I hear banjo's coming from the slymons cottage. Squeel david
