Something new: A Book Review....

In light of the announcement the other day about Apple's new i Pad device and how it will revolutionize the e book reading wars, I thought it would be interesting to offer a review of the book I was reading, and finished last night. A bit of background, I was an early convert to the Apple i Touch for a variety of reasons. Fore most was the versatility it offered, and the fact that as long as I could scam a free wifi signal I was good to go. Then I discovered the Kindle application, which coincidental was free, yea. Down loading books is a snap, and reading them is just as easy. Smaller screen, yet the font size is adjustable so that should not be an issue for most.

My sisters and I have a running discussion as to what is better, a Kindle or an i Touch, and I keep reminding them of the versatility the i Touch offers vs the lack of versatility of the Kindle, so, my blog, I win.....

Now Apple ups the ante with the i Pad introduced this past week. What to do, my wife says don't even think of getting another gadget, somehow I'm not hearing that. Thankfully it wont be available for another month or two and perhaps by then she will have forgotten. I don't think so....

Anyway I digress, back to the book review. Vince Flynn and Memorial Day.....

I started with his first book in the Mitch Rapp series Transfer of Power, then on to Third Option, Separation of Power, Executive Power, and now Memorial Day. Aside from being can't put down books, the realism is frighteningly real. I wont give anything away in this last one, but watching TV News the other evening I commented that for having been written in 2004 this could have been written yesterday. Scary good to say the least. I have five more to go, and if the time spent on the last one is an indication, I should accomplish this goal by Memorial Day!

Well worth the read, I highly recommend it.

I just finished Memorial Day last night. I've read most all but the last 2 books and had jumped this one. Hate when I get them out of order but..oh my god. What a thriller and yeah..scary real. I think I can read faster on my kindle..just sayin..

Your reading speed is perportional to your free time, not your Kindel.

I am a fast reader and I have a lot of free time. I know plenty of folks that have a lot of free time and are pokey readers though. These books are impossible to put down.
